Happy-Go-Lucky!

More often than not, we go through life, day-to-day not unaware of the things going on around us, but preoccupied being happy, to see how blessed we really are.
And for all the negative things I could label myself or my current situations in life, with careers, friendships, etc. I am often reminded, that I am really very lucky. I have a husband, who loves me, and I mean come on, he aint ugly either! ;)
We have one amazing son, who is just that - AMAZING! he is healthy, he is happy, we are so lucky!
We have so many people, family - friends, who love us.
We are both heatlthy ( if you subtract my over eating habits)
at any rate..

Yea! Happy! Lucky! It is my life!

But believe me - I dont always see the roses, sometimes, like most humans, I forget to see whats right in front of me!

But this week?
oh man - I see it alright. and it aint ugly either!!

Keith broadened my horizons, by showing me what the true defination of being an outdoorsmen truly means, he taught me to fish, hunt, ski, swim.. and all the things that an otherwise girly-girl would not enjoy.

When we first met, I did it to be with him, not because of some secret passion I always had for it, however  I grew to love it, and love it still. I enjoy bundleing up and ice fishing, or snowmobiling, or aiming a shot-gun into the air and blasting away a clay pigion, It gives me a sense of adventure, and makes me feel like I could really do anything..

However, dont get me wrong, I still love my computer, television and cross-stiching, whereas Keith could live without a tv, or house for that matter..

Our differences balanace perfectly with the things we have in common, for instance watching horr movies on our date nights, or watching our son learn something new.

Last night on our date night, we went fishing, and I usually am the type of fisherman that gives up after not getting a bite for 50 or so casts..
Keith urged me to keep  trying because "they WILL bite"

guess what?

He was right?

And the rush was A-mazing.

This is why he loves the outdoors..

That's our motto

This weekend was long, and hot, and jam packed.. In all the right ways too..

With a forcast of all rain, all weekend, it was pretty ambitious to have Keiths family visit, and to throw a cookout. But God had something else in mind. He blessed us with blue skies, hot days, cool nights and fun times.. Thank you Lord.

They arrived on Friday night, after the daycare party, and stayed until early this morning.

We got up every morning, had a good breakfast( thanks to my hubby), did fun things ALL day, stayed up late playing games at night, and doing it all over for three days straight. Austin had a blast, and was quite the little tropper for us.

and getting very SERIOUS about it too..

Austin played too..
On Saturday we had a cookout..

Mothers Day Weekend

This past weekend Keith and gramp found these cute little guys.

puppy Foxes

cute little pups
They are cute. BUT. only from afar. Its nerve racking with a little, and a friendly doggie around, being around a protective mother fox, but they are far enough away that Austin doesnt go up by himself, and neither does the dog.

They are cute to look at, and we didnt even point them out to Austin at all, just in pictures.. Didnt want him running up to them. ( I doubt he would)

But, while this was going on, I was feeling productive cleaning our carpets, and Keith helped Rus sheet rock. Keith has gone almost 4 weeks now without any ciggs. Which just means all he does is eat, and move.move.move..
Dont ge tme wrong I love it.. ( not in a gross way..winkwink)
We have gotten so much done.

I even made THREE rhubarb banana cobblers..

Then, we were going to go to the petting zoo in town, but it was really looking sort of thunder-y and storm-y
So we did this instead..

And you wanna talk about a proud daddy?
Just watch him teach his son to fish, and watch hi ACTUALLY do it..

So amazing to see.

Our son is growing so fast, and getting so much smarter and indendent as each day passes.

I have had some promising job stuff. And have really gained ALOT of ground on our book ( hope to be 'published' by Christmas)

Not to mention, I LOVE, and Austin LOVES going to nana's and Papa's almost each day, playing with Kids and doing lots of work..

Fun.fun.fun

Our glamour is having burgers on the grill.. Cold bud in one hand, and bubbles in the other.

Staying up late, watching scary movies, listening to our baby sleep..

Its a wonderful life, and it's all MINE!!
( well and theirs too, but my point is, we are so lucky to have each other?? I mean did you see my hubby? I am a lucky women.... )
