* Whatever Wednesdays*

So my previous title, has been replaced by "Whatever Wednesdays"
The theme is still the same however.
Each week we try something new, albeit a craft, a recipe, or a fun activty, that we discover on the world wide web, or mostly pinterest. And of course, blog about it :)

This week we ventured into the kitchen to try something, we have never done before.

Something for our fourlegged family member, who on the day-to-day sometimes gets forgotten with the hussle and bustle of our busy weeks.

Homemade Dog treats,
recipe found: HERE

It's really rather simple, and totally changeable to your doggies taste buds.

First we mixed our ingredients ( only four, peanutbutter, milk, flour and soda) The recipe called for what seemed like a lot of treats, so we cut our in half and it made a total of 24 treats

Next, be amazed at your momma's amazing ball forming talents..

this was not staged, he was just being a goof ball
Then use your rolling pin to roll it out, like cookies. You will need extra flour to make it less sticky.

using his rolling pin from aunt rere

Then  choose your cutter, we have this huge bin of cookie cutter shapes, but you dont need to make it dog boned shaped it can be anything, or even just round. Dogs dont really notice the details.. :)

Then cut them out, just like you would cookies

Put them on a cookie sheet, ungreased, bake at 350 for about 15 minutes, will get hard, like a normal dog treat..

Let cool.

And enjoy.

Abby very much enjoyed these, Austin however did not.

He asked to try one, and I figured it couldn't hurt. He spit it out saying " these are just for dogs, not people, mom"

So there you go.
ONLY feed them to doggies. Not kids

a great start to a great New year!!

This year, thus far has been splendid.

A lot of relaxing, hanging out, spending time together!!

When just one sippy isn't enough

I have started planning Austins 3rd bday party, and invites are going out this week!!

As for Daddy and me, we are celebrating our fourth anniversary this coming weekend,
not to mention my birthday next week..

watching the Backyardigans while wearing daddys work glasses

'baby sitter' as Austin often referrs to my growing belly, is doing very well, we had one minor 'scare'
which turned out to be nothing, thank goodness..
I have gained 4 pounds since my last visit, and Addison is kicking like a rock star, Austin and daddy both have felt her little high kicks!

I love feeling her move, and it never gets old, even if I do pee a million times a night!!
She moves the most after I eat, speaking of eating
I havent really had any weird cravings. Only random things that I MUST have, then after having it once or twice I move on to the next weird thing.
one week it was ham, the next cole slaw, then pork chops, then sweet and sour chicken.. now I really want a maple filled doughnut from tim hortons..

With Austin it was peporoni pizza, which I had ALOT!

"hmmm"

Ill be back next week, to write an ode to my 4 year marriage!!
( I know, be very excited!!)

Easter Sunday

Easter was way late this year, but no one noticed on this great day! The weather was perfect, we were all in good moods, and jeez we had a lot of fun too.

The day started out early.
Austin woke up to a beautiful site...

some real..

some jelly bean filled

He had such a good time hunting for his eggs, and eating his jelly beans..

He would open an egg, eat a bean.. this lasted about 15 minutes..

At  breakfast Austin opened his basket. His face is was what I live for - the joy!!

a few jelly beans later, we headed out to church, where we tried to get Bubba to play in nursery, but to no avail.
But he will hopefully warm up
* fingers crossed
soon.

Then we headed to meme's house, where to our surprise Nany, Joaquin and Cole were all visiting for our egg hunt, and ham lunch. ( and when I say ham, I mean our own rendition of a bolided ham, in the form of subs -- yummy)

The boys had not seen each other in quite a while, and really enjoyed playing together.

We had an egg hunt, and they all did really well, except for the part of wanting each others eggs..
But hey, what kids dont want more?? right?

Joaquin and his eggs

so serious

Showing off their loot..

Then it was time for lunch.. Where we all had subs.

making a business call during dinner
Then it was time for some baskets..

The biggest hit of the party, was by far the big bubble makers.

The boys LOVED them.

Cole

The boys played some more.

and we attempted to get a family photo..

he was trying to schooch his way out..

After we came home, we litteraly spent the entire afternoon outside, raking and playing, talking with some neighbors we know.. and LOVE!!

Our yard is coming along really nicely, and am so looking forward to our backyard summer.

We even ate a picnic ham 'suppah' tonight.

The way life should be..

On this Easter I am blessed, I am happy, and I am hopeful for the future - in all areas, especailly job-wise, I got a feeling that something is maybe coming my way.

*fingers crossed!

I hope your Easter was as full of love as mine was.

To many more holidays with the ones I love!!
